About Us

A little company history

James Taylor and Ben Taylor established Northfield Contracting and began operating in October 1995. Northfields WA acquired North Eastern Goldfields Contracting, with contracts in Leinster and Mt Keith, Western Australia.

The company began with one Bobcat and a 20 Tonne Excavator. See our photo's

Northfields WA, as we are now known, has grown to become a successful enterprise and now operates several excavators, bobcats, backhoes, tip trucks, prime movers and more.

Our location, and on-hand availability of equipment in Leinster, WA, make us a natural choice for many types of fast track and emergency response efforts in the area.

In 2007, Northfields WA opened a Perth based office and now offers services in Perth and the Southwest. Liquid Limestone – supply and finish, Fencing, Concrete Services, Bobcat hire, Backhoe hire and Labour Hire are just some of our services.

In 2008, Northfields WA expanded to the BHPB KNR Nickel Refinery.

Northfields WA contributes to the community, by sponsoring local clubs and organisations, and being directly involved.

Ben Taylor

Ben grew up in Leonora and has extensive experience operating all types of Earthmoving Equipment and Mining Industry. Ben has lived in Leonora and Leinster. During these times, he has contributed to both community’s by serving on local committee’s, which include:

President of the Leinster Community Group
President of the Leinster Golf Club
Committee member for the Leinster Sports and Recreation Committee
Committee member for the Leinster School Council

James Taylor

James grew up in the Leonora and has spent most of his life working and living in the North Eastern Goldfields. James has worked on mine sites all through the Goldfields and offers extensive experience operating all types of Earthmoving Equipment and the Mining Industry.
